Zelensky warns of guerrilla war as Ukraine aid stalls in Congress

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warns that without additional U.S. assistance, the conflict with invading Russian forces will turn more brutal. This comes as his country faces a stalemate in the war with Russia and some Republican lawmakers grow resistant to President Biden’s request for billions in aid. Zelensky met with members of the Senate and is due to meet House Speaker Mike Johnson and President Biden. His visit to the U.S. is critical as Ukraine’s military needs immediate help. To date, Congress has allocated over $111 billion to support Ukraine but has failed to heed Biden’s request for an additional $61 billion.
