Woman’s body found near Half Moon Bay coast plane crash site, officials say; 2 reportedly on board

A plane carrying two people crashed off the Half Moon Bay coast, California, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The woman’s body found near the crash site by a commercial fishing boat is believed to be associated with the crashed single-engine Cozy Mark IV. FAA, the NTSB, and other local agencies are investigating the incident, with parts of the plane’s wreckage still being recovered. The search for survivors was suspended after about six hours. It still remains unclear where the plane first departed from and whether the pilot attempted to land at Half Moon Bay’s Airport.
