Wisconsin Trump electors settle lawsuit, agree Biden won in 2020
Ten Republicans in Wisconsin who falsely claimed that Donald Trump won the state in the 2020 election have agreed in a legal settlement to withdraw their erroneous filings and acknowledge Joe Biden as the rightful winner. The settlement marks the first time pro-Trump electors have formally renounced their actions and agreed not to repeat them in future elections. These Republicans also committed not to serve as presidential electors in 2024 or any election where Trump is on the ballot. The agreement follows similar legal challenges in other states where Republicans falsely claimed to be presidential electors.
