Wife of Investor Who Pushed for Harvard President’s Exit Is Accused of Plagiarism
Neri Oxman, wife of billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, has been accused of plagiarism by Business Insider, leading Ackman to vow to conduct a plagiarism review of all current M.I.T. faculty members. Oxman, an architect and designer with a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has been accused of lifting sentences and whole paragraphs from various sources, including Wikipedia, in her academic writing. Oxman apologized for the errors, claiming they only involved a few paragraphs of her 330-page thesis. Ackman’s accusations of plagiarism against Claudine Gay, the former Harvard president, led to Gay’s resignation amidst similar allegations.
