Why Pittsburgh will play St. John Bosco Football Center next season.

The Pittsburgh Pirates high school football team will play against St. John Bosco-Bellflower, a nationally ranked school in Southern California, on September 20. The Pirates had an impressive season last year under new head coach Charlie Ramirez, finishing with a 13-1 record and winning their third North Coast Division One Championship. The team will see the return of its key players Marley Alcantara, Elijah Bowe, Jamar Searcy, Macari Kenyon, and Jaydin Hudson. Despite the strong roster, the game against St. John Bosco-Bellflower, a traditional SoCal power, marks a significant step-up in the strength-of-schedule for the Pirates. The deal between Bosco and the Pirates is for one season only.
