White House counsel asked special counsel to revise classified documents report’s descriptions of Biden’s “poor memory”

The White House counsel’s office has asked special counsel Robert Hur to revise the language used in his report investigating President Biden’s handling of classified documents. The report suggested Biden’s memory “appeared to have significant limitations”. The counsel’s office called the report’s language “inflammatory” and asked for revisions. Hur determined Biden’s handling of classified documents did not warrant criminal charges, but noted the political implications of the president’s memory as he seeks re-election could be damaging. President Biden has since refuted the claims about his memory, calling the commentary “extraneous” and insisting that his memory has not deteriorated during his presidency.
