Volcanic eruption in Iceland sends lava into nearby homes : NPR

A volcanic eruption in southwestern Iceland has caused lava to flow into the town of Grindavík, resulting in the evacuation of local residents and the engulfment of homes. The eruption began after a series of intense earthquakes and marks the second time in a month that a volcano has erupted near Grindavík. No flights have been disrupted as of yet, and officials are monitoring threats to infrastructure, but at least three homes have been damaged or overtaken by lava. The Icelandic government has stated that the eruption does not pose a threat to life.
