Victims in Clearwater plane crash identified

A small plane crashed into a mobile home in the Bayside Waters 55+ community in Clearwater, killing three people. The victims include 86-year-old Martha Parry, who lived at the crash site; 54-year-old Mary Ellen Pender from Treasure Island, who was visiting; and the pilot, Jemin Patel, 54, a licensed pilot from Melbourne Beach. Patel was also the owner of Control Data Inc., the Indiana-based company that owned the Beechcraft Bonanza V35 aircraft. The plane, which took off from Vero Beach, suffered an engine failure about an hour into the flight, resulting in the crash and subsequent fire that destroyed the mobile home and damaged several others.
