Utah teen falls to death after cliff edge crumbles beneath him
A 19-year-old hiker, Johnny Fielding, died after falling off a cliff that crumbled beneath him while he was taking photos at Moonscape Overlook in southern Utah. The incident occurred when Fielding moved closer to the edge for a better angle to take photos. Rebecca Fielding, the victim’s sister, took to social media to warn other hikers about the dangers of unstable ground on cliff edges. She described her brother’s tragic accident as a “cautionary tale to anyone who hikes or does photography.” Fielding’s death was ruled as an accident by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
