Two winters storms to bring snow to Kansas City area

The Kansas City area is expected to see two winter storms according to the National Weather Service. The first system, arriving Friday, will bring snow changing into a wintry mix of rain and snow, with less than half an inch of snow expected in the Kansas City metro. The weather service notes that road conditions will be wet during the day due to temperatures being above freezing and any snow accumulation should come overnight. Dry conditions are expected over the weekend, with another, stronger system arriving early next week potentially bringing strong winds and more significant snow accumulation. Uncertainty still exists about the exact path and evolution of this second storm.
