Two killed in New Year’s Day shooting in downtown L.A.
Two people died and eight others were wounded during a shooting at an underground New Year’s Eve party in downtown Los Angeles, as per the Los Angeles Police Department. The shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. near 15th Street and Santa Fe Avenue with the victims found both on the street and sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. The two dead victims, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene, while the wounded were taken to hospital. Authorities believe a dispute during the gathering triggered the shooting. The police are seeking information on possible suspects.
