Former President Donald Trump won the Nevada Republican caucuses, according to CNN projections. The victory came after his well-known competitor, Nikki Haley, decided not to compete for the state’s delegates. This win makes it the third Republican contest Trump has won, moving him closer to the GOP’s 2024 presidential nomination. The Republican Party in Nevada, led by Trump loyalists, decided not to award their delegates through a party-run primary and prevented candidates in the primary from appearing on caucus ballots. This left Trump to mainly compete against lesser-known candidate Ryan Binkley.
