Trump maintains dominant lead before caucuses

Former President Donald Trump leads by nearly 30 points in the final NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa poll ahead of the Republican caucuses, with strong support from evangelical Christians, registered Republicans, and first-time caucusgoers. The poll shows former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley slightly ahead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for second place, despite lower enthusiasm for her candidacy. Trump’s lead has slightly decreased from the 32-point lead he held in December. More than two-thirds of Republican caucusgoers say their minds are made up, with 82% of Trump’s supporters affirming this.
