Trump attends his civil fraud trial Thursday

Former President Donald Trump is attending the trial in the $250 million civil fraud lawsuit against him. Trump, denying any wrongdoing, has criticized the trial as a “witch hunt” and “very corrupt”. His lead lawyer, Chris Kise, hinted that Trump might attend the trial as a spectator, while Eric Trump backed out of testifying, claiming that everything he was to cover had been addressed by other witnesses. Trump is expected to testify on Monday as the defense’s final witness in the case. The lawsuit, initiated by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accuses the Trumps and their company of inflating financial statements by billions of dollars.
