Trinity Episcopal Church in Houston will host a Christmas-themed drag show to support the Montrose Center, a community center that primarily offers aid to LGBTQ+ individuals. The event, titled “Drag Me to Church,” will be held at Kiki’s Bar and is the first of its kind for the church. Trinity Episcopal Church has been a long-time supporter of LGBTQ+ initiatives, collaborating with local organizations to provide resources for LGBTQ+ youth. The event is in part a response to legislative measures, like Senate Bill 12, aimed at restricting public drag shows in Texas, which has since been blocked by a federal evaluate. The event tickets range from $150 for general admission to $1,750 for premium seating.
