‘There Will Always Be A Need’

The Southeast Mutual Aid group in Chicago is working to provide sustainable support for migrants and local residents. The group offers clothing, toiletries, and resources such as art therapy and civil rights education. Southeast Mutual Aid was initially created to provide COVID-19 relief and has since evolved to help meet various community needs. The group currently supports 16 people on a regular basis. Organizers are planning to start a resale shop to fund their work and are exploring the idea of a business incubator to support local entrepreneurs, including migrants looking to earn income with their skills.
