The shooting of the Russian pilot, the attack on the factory in Volgograd and the national selection for Eurovision: the main things for February 3

The pilot of a Russian Tu-95 bomber, implicated in missile attacks on Ukraine, was reportedly shot dead in Engels, Russia. In Volgograd, drones from the Security Service struck an oil refinery. A fire resulting from the drone attack affected 300 square meters of the Lukoil oil refinery, impacting a significant part of its production capacity. The final of Ukraine’s national selection for Eurovision 2024 was hindered due to a failure in the voting application, “Dia”. The announcement of the winner was postponed to February 4. Finally, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note of protest to Nicaragua over a Russian delegation from occupied Crimea visiting the state.
