the new date of the fight is named

The boxing match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury has been rescheduled to May 18, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as announced by the British Queensberry Promotions. The duel for the undisputed title of the world champion in super heavyweight marks the first in the heavyweight division since 1999. The fight was initially set for February 17, 2024, but was postponed due to an injury Tyson Fury sustained during sparring on February 2nd. Following the postponement, Usyk’s manager, Field Klimas, expressed his fury, accusing Fury of avoiding the fight, while Usyk’s promoter, Oleksandr Krasiuk, suggested Fury consider retirement. Usyk himself reportedly just smiled when learning about the cancellation.
