The government simplified the export of sunflower seeds to Bulgaria
The Cabinet of Ministers in Ukraine has simplified the export conditions of sunflower seeds to Bulgaria by establishing an automatic licensing regime. This decision, made on February 2, 2024, aims to ease the export process of Ukrainian products to Bulgaria by eliminating the need for obtaining licenses or approval from the Ministry of Agriculture. This follows Bulgaria’s agreement to liberalize the export licensing regime for sunflower seeds, a key Ukrainian agricultural product. The change in policy comes after Bulgaria banned the import of Ukrainian sunflower seeds the previous year, which led to the implementation of a licensing regime.
