Temple dominates Xavier for first road win

The Temple Women’s Basketball team snapped their three-game losing streak by defeating Xavier 78-41 in the first game of the Briann January Classic. The Owls’ performance was a result of a well-needed nine-day break after earlier losses, according to head coach Diane Richardson. Tiarra East led the team with an efficient 63% shooting and a team-high 13 points, while their high-intensity defense forced 23 Musketeer turnovers, scoring 31 points off them. Forwards Rayne Tucker and Jaleesa Molina also made significant contributions to the victory. The Owls’ next game is against Pacific as part of the same tournament.
