Bestselling author Taffy Brodesser-Akner is celebrating five Emmy nominations for her novel “Fleishman is in Trouble” and the reveal of her upcoming book “Long Island Compromise.” Her latest work tells the story of the Fletcher family over decades, from a kidnapping incident in the 1980s to a family reunion after their fortunes have depleted. Brodesser-Akner drew inspiration from her fascination with Long Island culture and her career in show business. The book cover, designed by Tyler Comrie, reflects the commercial art trends of the mid-20th century. “Long Island Compromise” will release on July 9.
