Suspected gunman in Barrio Logan slaying arrested in Florida, brought back to San Diego
David Gatheright, a 42-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting Brian Noel in Barrio Logan six months ago, has been extradited to California following his arrest in Florida. St Petersburg police arrested Gatheright on November 19 during a home disturbance and discovered his connection to the murder after running his name. Gatheright, described as a transient, reportedly had a verbal altercation with Noel before the shooting. He is now jailed in San Diego without bail and is slated to be arraigned in San Diego Superior Court.
