Suspect shot, killed by officers
A man named Christopher Lee Shepherd, suspected in a domestic incident, was shot and killed by police officers in Upper St. Clair, Allegheny County. Police responded to reports of a domestic incident at around 2:50 p.m. at a house on Lamar Road. Shepherd was allegedly threatening officers with a knife while they tried to take him into custody on an involuntary commitment order. Despite commands, Shepherd continued to approach officers with a knife and they responded by firing at him. Shepherd was charged with aggravated assault posthumously. The incident is now under investigation by county homicide detectives.
