Suspect in Custody After Shootings in Austin and San Antonio

A suspect has been charged with capital murder by the Austin, Texas police following a string of shootings that left four people dead. The shootings occurred around the city and the suspect, a male in his 30s not yet identified, may also be connected to two additional deaths in the San Antonio area. Among the incidents, an Austin school district officer was shot and wounded, a double homicide occurred, and a male cyclist was shot. The suspect was apprehended after a burglary and police pursuit, during which an officer was shot multiple times. The authorities in Bexar County, which includes San Antonio, have also linked the suspect to two bodies found in a home there.
