Suspect booked for murder of Oakland police officer, several arrests made
Several arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting of Oakland police officer Tuan Le, who was responding to a report of a burglary at a cannabis business. Among those arrested is Mark Sanders, 27, who was booked on suspicion of murder and other felony counts. Sanders was previously convicted of burglary and was released on probation in 2022. Officer Le was killed while working undercover and driving an unmarked vehicle. The Oakland Police Department has not specified what charges the other suspects face for their alleged roles.
