Suspect arrested in 4 Los Angeles area homicides that took place in 4 days: Police

The Los Angeles police have linked four fatal shootings, three of which targeted homeless men, to a single suspect identified as Jerrid Joseph Powell. Arrested on Saturday, Powell was already in custody for a separate homicide involving a follow-home robbery. His vehicle was found at the scene of all the murders, and a handgun from the vehicle has been identified as the murder weapon. Authorities have not yet established a motive for the shootings, which took place over four days, but have stated that the victims were killed “without provocation.” The police suspect there may be additional victims and are investigating further.
