Super PAC backing Nikki Haley seeks to swing independent voters in bid to beat Donald Trump

A group of political independents, including Jonathan Bush, cousin of former President George W. Bush, and billionaire CEO Frank Laukien, have launched a Super PAC (Political Action Committee) called Independents Moving the Needle to support former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in her bid for the Republican presidential nomination. The PAC will concentrate its efforts on New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary, where around 40% of voters are registered as undeclared. Haley has managed to maintain donor support and gained traction after three well-received debate performances. She recently secured the endorsement of Americans for Prosperity Action, a conservative activist group backed by billionaire Charles Koch.
