State government buildings face bomb threats for second consecutive day

Government buildings in the south of the United States, including Mississippi and Arkansas, have received bomb threats for the second consecutive day, resulting in increased security measures. Multiple locations across Mississippi have been threatened, prompting precautionary measures and standard emergency procedures. Bomb teams have been deployed throughout the state. The Pulaski County Courthouse in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a state courthouse in Daytona Beach, Florida, were also evacuated due to similar threats. Federal officials have recently warned of a surge in threats against public servants, including “swatting”, where false crime reports are made to draw police to specific locations.
