Spring fire: Over 100 firefighters work to extinguish fire at CubeSmart Self Storage on Sawdust Road
A large fire broke out at the CubeSmart Self Storage facility in Spring, Texas, causing significant damage. The fire started on Wednesday evening and firefighters are still working to extinguish hot spots. At one point, over 100 firefighters, 9 ladder trucks, and 22 engines were at the scene. According to Assistant Chief Joseph Leggio, the fire damaged an estimated 25% of the top floor and caused significant water damage. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated on-site. The public is asked to avoid the area.
