Southern California woman speaks after being dragged by Costco purse snatcher
A 37-year-old Southern California woman was violently attacked and dragged by purse snatchers in a Costco parking lot in the City of Industry. The assailant attempted to steal her purse, punched her when she refused to let go, and dragged her about 50 yards through the parking lot, resulting in her suffering a facial fracture, abrasions, and a scalp laceration. She was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital in critical condition but survived. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two suspects seen leaving in a dark-colored Infiniti QX60 SUV and believe the same suspects may have broken into another vehicle in the same parking lot. The woman’s friend, Donald Ward, is advising people to be vigilant of their surroundings.
