Son of veteran correspondent is 5th member of his family killed by Israeli airstrikes

An Israeli airstrike has killed two Palestinian journalists in Gaza, including the son of a veteran Al Jazeera correspondent, Wael Dahdouh. The two journalists, Hamza Dahdouh and freelance journalist, Mustafa Tharaya, were killed when their car was hit by a strike in southern Gaza. Wael Dahdouh, who has covered the war extensively for Al Jazeera, has lost multiple family members in the ongoing conflict, but has vowed to continue reporting. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, at least 70 Palestinian journalists, four Israeli, and three Lebanese reporters have been killed since the war began in October. Palestinian journalists have played a crucial role in reporting on the conflict, despite losing loved ones and being forced to flee their homes.
