Son of Sen. Kevin Cramer Involved in Fatal Car Chase
Ian Cramer, the son of US Senator Kevin Cramer, was arrested after a car chase that resulted in the death of a sheriff’s deputy in North Dakota. Cramer, who was experiencing a mental health crisis, reportedly stole a vehicle from a hospital in Bismarck and led police on a chase that ended in a crash near Hazen. The deputy killed was Paul Martin, a 53-year-old officer from Mercer County. Cramer, who suffers from severe mental disorders according to his father, now faces multiple felony charges including manslaughter, fleeing the police, resisting arrest, and reckless endangerment.
