Senate staffer alleged by conservative outlets to have had sex in a hearing room is no longer employed

A staffer named Aidan Maese-Czeropski, previously employed by Sen. Ben Cardin’s office, has been dismissed following allegations from conservative news outlets about a leaked video reportedly showing him engaging in a sexual act in a Senate hearing room. The video, allegedly showing a congressional staffer with an unidentified man, was said to be shared in a private group for gay men within politics. While the authenticity of the video and identities of the individuals involved have not been confirmed, Maese-Czeropski has dismissed the allegations, stating any attempts to characterize his actions as disrespecting his workplace are fabricated. He also denied separate accusations about shouting “Free Palestine!” at Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio.
