Schools adjust schedules for Tuesday ahead of severe weather – WSOC TV

Schools in North and South Carolina are adjusting their schedules in response to severe weather expected to bring high winds, heavy rain, and the threat of tornadoes on Tuesday. The Severe Weather Center 9 team is tracking the potentially damaging storm system and some schools have announced plans to close or switch to remote learning for the day. The affected districts include Alexander, Anson, Ashe, Avery, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Chester, Chesterfield, Clover, Fort Mill, Gaston, Hickory, Iredell-Statesville, Lancaster, Kannapolis, Mooresville, Richmond, Rock Hill, Rowan-Salisbury, Stanly, and Union. Updates will continue as more districts announce their plans.
