Sandman Hotel blast injures at least 21, officials say

Emergency teams have responded to a gas explosion at the Sandman Hotel in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, causing at least 21 injuries with one person in critical condition. The origin of the explosion is currently under investigation, with the Asian restaurant Musume inside the hotel, which was under construction at the time, being a potential starting point. No fatalities have been reported, and three employees of the Musume restaurant were among the injured. The local gas company, Atmos, is helping to turn off gas to nearby buildings. The Sandman Hotel is a historic 245-room hotel that was completed in 1920 and is currently owned by the Canadian company Northland Properties.
