San Antonio City Council to discuss Marc Whyte DWI case during Wednesday session | San Antonio

San Antonio City Council is set to discuss the Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) arrest of District 10 Councilman Marc Whyte. Whyte was arrested after a bar crawl on Dec. 29, when he was pulled over by police near the airport. The incident will be discussed during a Wednesday executive session, according to the council’s January 10 agenda, which lists an item for “legal issues related to Councilmember provisions under the City Charter”. Mayor Ron Nirenberg stated that Whyte’s actions “cannot be condoned.” Prior to Whyte, District 10’s previous councilman, Clayton Perry, also faced DWI charges.
