Rosalynn Carter to be laid to rest at family home after private funeral

Rosalynn Carter, former first lady and humanitarian, was laid to rest in her hometown of Plains, Georgia. Carter, who transformed the role of first lady and built a humanitarian legacy, passed away on November 19 at the age of 96. Her husband, former President Jimmy Carter, attended the funeral along with family members and invited friends. Remembrance activities spanned over three days, including a wreath-laying ceremony at her alma mater and a public tribute service attended by various political leaders. Rosalynn Carter is survived by her husband, their four children, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
