South Alabama is currently experiencing severe thunderstorms, with tornado watches in effect until 7a CT. The weather conditions for the rest of Alabama include reduced winds and expected rainfall until midday, followed by cloudy, windy, and colder temperatures. A disturbance is forecasted to potentially cause light rain or even snow flurries over the northern third of Alabama, although temperatures will remain above freezing and no impact is expected. The upcoming weather for the rest of the week includes dry weather on Wednesday and Thursday, wind and rain on Friday, and below-freezing temperatures over the weekend. A weather system early next week could potentially bring freezing rain or snow to North Alabama.
