Rabid skunk discovered in Camden County yard, officials say – NBC10 Philadelphia

The Camden County Health Department has reported a case of a skunk testing positive for rabies in Haddonfield. The skunk was found in a resident’s yard, where their dogs were potentially exposed to it. The dogs have since received a rabies booster shot and are being observed for 45 days. Commissioner Virginia Betteridge of the Camden County Health Department advises pet owners to keep their pets’ vaccinations up to date, supervise them to avoid contact with wild animals, and avoid direct contact with unfamiliar animals.
