PM Update: Showers possible later tonight. Rain turns steadier then heavier with time Sunday.

A flood watch is scheduled to begin in Washington DC at 6 p.m. Sunday lasting through to 6 a.m. Monday. Showers are expected to turn into steadier rain during Sunday afternoon and more intense rainfall is predicted for Sunday night. The combination of high wind gusts and heavy rain could cause power outages and bring down trees. Total rainfall from the storm is expected to total two to three inches and residents are advised to charge electronic devices in preparation. An additional one to two inches of rain could fall overnight with low temperatures bottoming out near 50 to low 50s.
