Pleasant Hill suspect who shot at police during standoff in custody

A suspect, 40-year-old Chunliam Saechao, in Pleasant Hill who engaged in a three-day standoff with police has been taken into custody. Saechao barricaded himself in his home after allegedly shooting his wife on Thursday night and then reportedly fired at an armored police vehicle on Saturday morning. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was later released from the hospital. The suspect, reportedly a retired detective from the Pittsburg police department, was posting on social media during the standoff, leading authorities to believe he might be suicidal. Police attempts to negotiate with the suspect were initially unsuccessful, but the situation was eventually resolved without further injuries.
