The Schuylkill River rose to about a foot below moderate flood stage Wednesday morning before beginning to recede.

Police urge citizens to remain vigilant, watch for debris and ponding on roads, and avoid flooded areas.

“What looks like two inches of water could be three feet. Don’t drive through flooded areas,” warned Lt Andrew Napoli of the police marine unit.

A significant section of Kelly Drive remains inaccessible due to flooding.
