Penn State ends KU’s volleyball season in NCAA Tournament

Penn State’s volleyball team defeated Kansas in a closely contested second-round match of the 2023 NCAA tournament. The match was decided in the fifth set, with Penn State securing a 15-13 victory due to a strategic move by Maddy Bilinovic. Reagan Cooper stood out in her performance with a career-high of 29 kills, tying a KU record for most kills in a five-set match, previously set by Karina Garlington in 2008. Despite their loss, KU coach Ray Bechard expressed pride in his team’s effort, stating that everyone in attendance witnessed “something special”.
