Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley to be sentenced Friday in Michigan
Ethan Crumbley, the 17-year-old responsible for the 2021 Michigan school shooting, has been expected to learn his fate in court on Friday, with a possible life sentence without parole being the outcome. Crumbley, who killed four students and wounded seven others at Oxford High School, has been convicted of first-degree murder. Judge Kwamé Rowe has determined that Crumbley didn’t show potential for rehabilitation, hence the potential life sentence. His parents, James and Jennifer Crumbley, are separately charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly purchasing the weapon for their son and ignoring his mental health needs. Their trials will be held separately, likely later in the year.
