NYC Gets Its Biggest Snowfall in 2 Years
New York City witnessed its first significant snowfall in nearly two years as approximately three inches of snow expectedly covered the city’s neighborhoods. The snowfall, which was reported in Central Park, broke a 701-day streak of no meaningful snowfall. Last year, the city had a milder winter with only 2.3 inches of snow recorded, the smallest amount since record-keeping started in 1869. The snowfall was brought by a low-pressure system, and the city is expected to receive more snow as we move further into winter, indicating a departure from the previous year’s unusual weather pattern.
