Nikki Haley appears on ‘SNL’, says she should’ve previously stated slavery caused Civil War
Former South Carolina governor and Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley appeared as herself in a CNN election-year town hall sketch on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL). During the sketch, Haley corrected her previously controversial answer about the main cause of the Civil War, which she had originally claimed was “the role of government” during a town hall in New Hampshire. The sketch also included a mock debate with Donald Trump, represented by actor James Austin Johnson. The former President was shown confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi and making disparaging remarks about women’s capabilities.
