NFL explains why Chiefs-Dolphins wasn’t postponed due to weather

The game was rescheduled for Monday at 3:30 p.m. CT while the state of New York was declared a state of emergency by Governor Kathy Hochul. On the other hand, the Chiefs-Dolphins game is expected to proceed on schedule due to no public safety travel concerns, despite potentially being one of the coldest games in NFL history. Measures are in place to protect players and fans from the cold temperatures, including heated benches, heavy jackets, gloves, hand warmers, and warming stations at the stadium. Fans are also allowed to bring cardboard to stand on for insulation against the cold concrete.
