Navy helicopter crashes into San Diego Bay, all crew members survive – NBC 7 San Diego
A U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter from the Helicopter Maritime Strike squadron 41 crashed into the San Diego Bay during a routine training on Thursday night. Six crew members were onboard at the time of the crash, but all survived due to a nearby safety boat and assistance from Federal Fire. All crew members were moved ashore for medical evaluation. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. The MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter is described as the Navy’s most advanced rotary wing maritime strike platform.
