N.J. weather: Snow forecast maps issued for latest winter storm. Snow squall alert today.

A winter storm is expected to bring 1 to 3 inches of snow across most of New Jersey late Monday into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Northern areas of the state are expected to see 2 to 3 inches, while southern areas should receive 1 to 2 inches. The Jersey Shore could see less than an inch and a mix of rain and snow is expected in Cape May County. Snow squalls and winds up to 50 mph on Sunday led the service to issue a special weather statement for several counties. Another winter storm could affect the state later in the week.
