N.J. weather: Expect flooding, power outages today. Latest updates on another storm Friday.

A severe storm in New Jersey, which dropped 2 to 3 inches of rain across the state, has resulted in substantial flooding, power outages, and school closures. Over 60,000 homes and businesses were left without power early Wednesday. Forecasters predict another powerful storm on Friday night with potential wind gusts up to 60 mph along the Jersey Shore, which could worsen the existing flooding and cause new ones. Dozens of flights have been canceled at Newark Liberty International Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport. Highways, including Routes 17, 23, 124, 22, 37, 206, and 29, experienced heavy flooding.
